This Privacy Policy explains how myootdfashion (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit myootdfashion.com (the “Site”). We run the Site from United States, and we welcome readers from around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada and Australia. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message when you contact us.
- Comments: your name, email address, website (optional) and comment, plus your IP address and browser details, which help us detect spam.
- Newsletter: your email address and name if you choose to subscribe to updates.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on pages and the website or app that referred you (for example, Pinterest).
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files and tags stored on your device, described in section 3.
2. How we use your information
- To run, maintain and improve the Site and its content.
- To reply to your messages and requests.
- To publish and moderate comments.
- To send newsletters you have asked to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To show advertising and to earn commissions through affiliate links.
- To understand how readers use the Site, such as which posts are popular.
- To protect the Site against spam, fraud, abuse and security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We and our partners use the following types:
- Essential cookies that make the Site work, such as security, caching and remembering your comment details.
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site.
- Advertising cookies that ad networks use to show ads and measure their performance.
- Affiliate cookies that retailers use to recognise when a purchase came from one of our links.
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the Site may then not work properly.
4. Advertising
We use, or may use, third-party advertising companies to show ads on the Site, including Google AdSense and, in the future, premium ad networks such as Mediavine, Raptive, Ezoic or Journey. These companies may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to show ads that may interest you.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can learn more about how Google uses data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other companies at www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).
Each ad network processes data under its own privacy policy. If we add a new ad network, we will update this policy.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the retailer or affiliate network may place a cookie on your device to record that the sale came from us, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not receive your payment details or the full details of your order. Our affiliate partners include Amazon and other affiliate networks. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Read more in our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Analytics
We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. These tools collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the Site and approximate location, using cookies. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Third-party services and embedded content
- Social media: posts may include Pinterest “Save” buttons and embedded content from Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube or other platforms. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it.
- Hosting: the Site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes technical data such as server logs.
- Security: we use security tools that log IP addresses and activity to block attacks and spam.
- Email: we use third-party services to deliver emails, such as replies to messages and newsletters.
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, security, email delivery, analytics), who may use it only to provide their services;
- with advertising and affiliate partners, as described in sections 4 and 5;
- when required by law, or to protect our rights, our readers or the public;
- if the Site is sold or transferred, in which case your information may be transferred to the new owner under this policy.
Under some US state laws, such as California’s, allowing advertising partners to collect data through cookies may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out by using the opt-out tools above, by adjusting your cookie choices, or by contacting us. Where required by law, we honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to deal with your request. Comments and their details are kept until the comment is removed. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Server and security logs are kept for a limited period.
10. Your privacy rights
Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on these legal bases: your consent (for non-essential cookies and newsletters), our legitimate interests (running, improving and protecting the Site), and taking steps at your request (replying to messages).
Visitors from the United States
Depending on your state, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and others, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
Visitors from Canada, Australia and elsewhere
You may have similar rights under the laws of your country, such as PIPEDA in Canada and the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia. We will respect those rights.
To use any of these rights, email us at usmanlatifbusiness@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law.
11. International data transfers
We operate from Pakistan, and our service providers and partners are located in different countries, including the United States. Your information may therefore be processed outside your own country, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as our providers’ standard contractual clauses, to protect your information.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection and security monitoring. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for how to respond to them, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. This does not affect Global Privacy Control signals, described in section 8.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new services or partners. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Please check this page regularly.
16. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, contact us at usmanlatifbusiness@gmail.com or through our Contact page.
